Garden Rescue

Garden Rescue

Garden Rescue has become the ultimate garden makeover show on the BBC.

It was first shown on 11 July 2016 with the return of Charlie Dimmock to our screens.

Charlie was best know for her bra less appearance on Ground Force with Alan Titchmarsh and Tommy Walsh and several spin off shows following.

Charlie Dimmock

Charlie had been absent from appearing regularly on our screens and her return saw her competing against the Rich Brothers Harry and David to have their design picked by the house owner and completed.

The Rich Brothers

The Rich Brothers Harry and David are award winning cutting edge garden designers and this contrasts with Charlie's more traditional softer style of garden design.

The designers visit the participants home and gardens and working to the budget and requirements they then design and pitch their designs with the losing Designer helping build the garden.

We then have the grand reveal with lots of wow's and the losing Designer watching from afar.

In 2019, Series 4 Arit Anderson joined the programme to compete against the Rich Brothers and caused concern amongst Charlie's fans who thought she had suddenly left the show.

Arit Anderson

Arit brings her past experience  in the fashion industry and her holistic training into her designs and is now a regular designer in the programme.

Garden Rescue has just started Series 5 in May 2020 ton BBC1 in a week day, afternoon slot.

Just perfect after a day in the garden to put your feet up with a cuppa and enjoy and hopefully find inspiration, design and planting ideas for your own Garden Rescue.
