Wild About Your Garden is a Wildlife Garden Makeover programme first shown on the BBC on 19 November 2008 and repeated 16 years later starting Sunday 21 January 2024 on BBC2.
Series 1 ran for 6 Episodes and attracted over 5 million viewers before it was scrapped in 2009.
The presenters are Nick Knowles, Wildlife Expert, Ellie Harrison and Garden Designer, Chris Beardshaw who later joined the team at The Beechgrove Gardens.
Wild About Your Garden is a reverse garden makeover programme tackling urban gardens with concrete jungles and turning them into real jungles as well as changing unsuitable environments and designing gardens to attract certain species.
This does not always go smoothly when Garden Designer Chris and Wildlife Expert Ellie disagree about a neglected plot in Episode 2 that Ellie wants to attract Badgers and Chris says no!
It is up to Nick to sort out the dilemma and get the garden done in the timeframe for the Garden Makeover.
Nick Knowles is a TV Presenter, Writer and Musical Artist best known for presenting DIY SOS from 1999 onwards as well as hosting several Game Shows.
Nick only other Wildlife programmes included Mission Africa and Wildest Dreams and again filmed in Africa about the wildlife.
Ellie Harrison made her presenting debut on the wildlife series Michaela's Wild Challenge which aired between 2003 and 2006.
Ellie joined the Countryfile team in 2009 where she stayed for 13 years as a presenter.
In addition to fronting Countryfile, Ellie has hosted many other shows, like appearing on Children's programme Milkshake, Secret Britain in 2015, and in the same year made Dinosaur Britain, a two-part documentary for ITV.
Chris Beardshaw first appeared on a programme called Surprise Gardeners in 1999 as the garden expert.
In 2001, we saw Chris flying all over the country as a gardening agony Uncle in Flying Gardeners.
In 2007, Chris joined Monty Don on Gardeners' World as a presenter,
When BBC Scotland Flagship gardening programme Beechgrove Garden was to be aired in a regular slot on BBC2 in 2013, Chris joined the show as a presenter.
