Ashley graduated in 2014 from Royal Botanic Gardens with a School of Horticulture Prestigious Diploma, he then worked in America at Longwood Gardens, then onto Sicily as an Intern Garden Manager.
He also worked as Gardener in Charge at Strawberry Hill House & Garden, the former Twickenham residence of Horace Walpole and later Lady Frances Waldegrave.
Ashley became Head Gardener at Horatio's Garden London & South East in 2020 and managed a team of Volunteers in the Charities fifth Garden, at the London Spinal Injury Centre in the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore.
The Garden was designed by Tom Stuart-Smith, Award Winning Chelsea Show winner with 9 Gold Medals.
This was not just a gardening role but also to welcome and support the patients with their horticultural therapy, family visiting, as well as the NHS staff, that work there.
In 2023 Gardeners' World featured Ashley Edwards talking about his own gardening Journey, viewers wanted to see more of Ashley on the programme after his appearance after having a big impact on the viewers.
Ashley is an advocate for the healing effect of gardens and their benefit for Mental Health and his Instagram is called Plants for Wellbeing
Ashley also appears on Alan Titchmarsh Love your Weekend programme on ITV.
In 2025 Ashley Edwards joined Nick Knowles and the Team on DIY SOS as the Garden Expert to help makeover the homes and gardens for people that need the team help to adapt their homes.
In 2026 Ashley Edwards will be at Gardeners' World Live and he is also is one of the Garden Experts for Gardeners' World Magazine.
