Garden Rescue Series 4

Garden Rescue returned to our screens for the Fourth series on 29 April 2019 on BBC1.


Charlie Dimmock who has been in the programme since it started in 2016 returns along side The Rich Brothers Harry & David Rich who have also has been in it from the start.

Arit Anderson is the new presenter joining them for Series 4 and has a background in Design and an holistic wellbeing.

Arit debut on Garden Rescue in Episode 2 on 30 April 2019 caused some concern for the viewers as she featured in several episodes with no sign of Charlie Dimmock.

She was not a replacement but a welcome addition to the show.

Tom Brown

Tom Brown

Tom Brown is a Head Gardener, Garden Writer, Garden Judge and a new Presenter on Gardeners' World 2023


Tom first got interested in gardening at 16  started his gardening career at the prestigious RHS Wisley Gardens working in their Garden Centre.

He then started his training at  Merrist Wood College, before returning to Wisley to work full time and spent 8 years there gaining experience and moving up to Senior Supervisor.

Gardeners' World 2023 returns with 
Monty Don welcoming us to the first of four Gardeners' World Winter Specials 2023.

The first programme was shown on Friday 08 December 2023 on BBC2 and repeated in the Saturday morning Gardening slot and is also available on the BBC iplayer.

These Winter Specials are always a welcome return, personally January or February would be better scheduling as it only seems a few weeks since we said goodbye to Monty and the dogs.

Beechgrove Gardens in Winter 2023 is the second series of the seasonal spin off of Beechgrove Gardens and was first shown on BBC Scotland on Thursday 2 November 2023.

Jamie Butterworth is an Award Winning Gardener, Plantsman, Nursery Owner and new Presenter on Gardeners' World 2023

Jamie interest in gardening started at the age of 9 years old when he made an allotment in his Grandparents garden in Wakefield.


In 2011 Jamie was a finalist on BBC3 Young Gardener of the Year aged just 16.

This series was Shown during the Covid-19 Pandemic when the interest in gardening was increasing and everyone wanted a garden makeover after spending more time in our homes and gardens.

Scott Smith

Scott Smith is the new Head Gardener at Beechgrove Gardens and a new Presenter for Beechgrove Garden 2023.

Scott after studying for RHS L3 Diploma in the Principles and Practices of Horticulture and MHort with Royal Horticultural Society and has worked in various Gardening positions.

His last position was as Head Gardener of Pitmedden Garden and Haddo House for the National Trust for Scotland.

Garden Rescue returns for Series 8 on Monday 29 May 2023 on BBC1 in the afternoon slot.

Leading the Team of Garden Designers is the longest member Charlie Dimmock who has been in the programme since it was first shown in 2016

Returning is Garden Designer Lee Burkhill AKA The Ninja Gardener  who first appeared in Garden Rescue 2021 Series 6.

The last 2 members joined the Team in Garden Rescue 2022 Series 7 are Flo Headlam  and Chris Hull.

Bruce Kenneth

Bruce Kenneth AKA Bruce Kenneth Faulseit

Bruce Kenneth AKA Bruce Kenneth Faulseit is a Master Craftsman and TV presenter and although not a Gardener is new to the Love Your Garden Series 13 Team.

Bruce was born in 1979 and originally from New Jersey and now living in Yorkshire, he specialises in bespoke furniture design and creation inspired from Mid Century furniture designs.

The self taught award winning designer appeared first on television for his carpentry expertise on BBC1 Money for Nothing where he repurposed old furniture and created something beautiful and usable.

Although not a Gardener, Bruce has now appeared in 2 Garden Makeover Series The Great Garden Revolution and most recently Love Your Garden.

Alan Titchmarsh introduces us to the 13th series of Love Your Garden which was first aired on 19 April 2023 starting with Episode 2.

Once again this run of episodes is mixed up with the final 4 from the previous series, Love your Garden Series 12.

Lizzie Schofield

Lizzie Schofield is a Gardener and the new presenter of Beechgrove Garden 2023 as well as being a Primary School Teacher.


The cottage Lizzie and her Husband Malcolm had bought on the coast at Buckie, Moray had hardly no garden.

About 7 years ago they bought the plot of land to the side which included a very steep bank.

They were not gardeners and learnt as they went along from reading books and magazines and watching gardening programmes.

They added steps and terraces and planted the garden up from scratch and added a pergola and filled the garden with colour making a beautiful garden.


Lizzie and her husband Malcom beautiful coastal garden in Buckie won the Judges' and People's Awards in the 2020 Gardener's World Magazine Garden of the Year contest.

Their hillside garden at Cuthbert's Brae overlooking the Moray Coast is also open for the Scotland's Gardens Scheme whom Lizzie is also an Ambassador for.

Filthy Garden SOS Episode 6, is a garden makeover show with a difference that was first shown in 2021 on 5 Star and then repeated on Channel 5.

This is the last episode of series 1, hopefully a series 2 will follow!

Award winning Garden Designer Diarmuid Gavin starts by telling us our gardens are our sanctuaries, private, plant filled, peaceful and green corners of this green covered land.

He goes on to tell us not all gardens are like that and the homeowners have not got the gardening bug and their gardens are shocking!

He actually calls them 'crimes against nature itself'.

Diarmuid tells us for as long as he been gardening he never seen gardens so bad.

Help is on the way with his crack team of experts starting with Garden Designer Danny Clarke who will bring out the gardener in the home owner by encouraging them to grow into gardeners which he finds as satisfying as seeing the garden grow.

Penny Lamb it is all about using power tools in the garden to clear and cut down as well as making things for the garden.

Diarmuid is on a mission to show everyone how easy it is to look after a garden to change a Filthy Garden to a fabulous Garden.

BBC Scotland Flagship gardening programme Beechgrove returned to our screens for the 2023 gardening season on Thursday 06 April 2023 in Scotland and on BBC2 on Friday 07 April 2023.

Beechgrove is also available on the BBC iplayer as well as being repeated on the Sunday morning Gardening slot on BBC2.

Returning for its 45th year the series will run for 26 programmes and the episodes are 30 minutes long.

Diana Yates

Diana Yates

Diana Yates is a Gardener and the new presenter of Beechgrove Garden 2023 after previously appearing on the series Beechgrove Gardens in Winter.

Diana Yates spent 10 years living and working in South Africa. 

She returned to the united Kingdom in 2017, with her family and then bought her current home Greenfields.

The 18th-century listed former manse is in West Linton on the Scottish Borders and has 2 acres of land for her fruit and vegetable garden. 

Patti from Gardeners' World

Patti

Patti is the smallest of Monty Don Dogs to feature as a Dogs from Gardeners' World 

She is a Yorkshire Terrier she was born on 08 April 2019 and first appeared on Gardeners' World in April 2020.

Even though she comes across as more of a 'lap dog', Patti has a bossy streak and likes to think she is in charge.

Nellie from Gardeners' World

Nellie

Nellie is the second of Monty Don Dogs to feature as a Dogs from Gardeners' World 

Monty Don's dog Nellie, known as Nell is a Golden Retriever who joined Gardeners World in 2016.

She joined Monty's beloved Nigel and was described by Monty as having the attention span of a gnat.

Along with Nigel she was often seen sleeping on camera.


Nell sadly died on 20 October 2023 after being diagnosed with Cancer in the June. She is buried next to her friend Nigel, wrapped in one of Monty coats, with her favourite biscuits and toys.

Nell will be sadly missed.

Ned from Gardeners' World

Ned

Ned is the newest of Monty Don Dogs and a welcome new addition to the Dogs from Gardeners' World 

He is a Golden Retriever who arrived at Longmeadow on 17 September 2022.

He made his Television debut on 07 October 2022 at just 10 weeks old.

Nigel from Gardeners' World

Nigel

Nigel is the best known of Monty Don Dogs and his most long and loyal companion of all the Dogs from Gardeners' World 

The Golden Retriever was born on 17 May 2008 and sadly passed away in May 2020 after a short illness.

Nigel loved Tennis Balls as well as regularly running off with Monty gardening gloves, seed packets and sticks.

Nigel when not getting up to mischief enjoyed a good nap in the sun.

Monty Don is back for the first programme of Gardeners' World for the 2023 growing season starting on Friday 17 March 2023 and repeated on BBC2 in the early morning Sunday slot.

The start of this series is a week later than Gardeners' World 2022 due to delays in filming because of the weather.

This year they have kept with the same format of Monty in his garden, presenters visiting other gardens and collections, viewers videos, Jobs for the weekend and Monty's dogs taking centre stage.
