Monty Don is back for a new series of Gardeners' World 2026 starting on Friday 13 March 2026 on BBC2 and the BBC iplayer.
Where has the Winter gone, with Monty Don's Rhineland Gardens and Gardeners' World Compilation 2026 only just ending, it feels like Monty has not had any time off from our screens.
Prior to that we had Gardeners' World Winter Specials 2025/2026 and I cannot decide if is it too much, or not enough to see us through the Winter months?
Monty back at Longmeadow and after a very wet Winter I wonder how it is after the floods and what projects has he planned for the garden this year.
Longmeadow is in Hertfordshire and is just 2 acres, although seems a lot bigger on the telly.
Monty, his wife Sarah and family have lived there since 1991.
It was just a field when they moved in and it took years of hard work as well as soil conditioning to turn it from a field to a garden.
Monty had no idea at the time of designing and creating his garden it would one day be one of the most watched gardens on the telly.

The big news for this series is Adam Frost has moved house again, so he has a new blank canvas of a garden to start again in.
Unlike Monty garden transformation all those years ago we will be watching it transform and we get to see Adam planting his very first trees in episode 1.
Adam has transformed 2 gardens and shared them with the viewers of Gardeners' World and I am sure getting a vegetable garden prepared. will be on the agenda.
Gardeners' World has not just been about gardening, it has also featured their 4 legged co-stars more and more in recent years.
The main stars have been Monty Don's Dogs, the Late Nigel, Nellie and the current Dogs Ned and Patti. (Monty has other off screen pets)
I wonder if this year we will see a replacement for Nellie?
Adam Frost also has his animal co-stars stealing the limelight, Ash the Cat and new dog on the block Buster.
Buster recent appearance on Gardeners' world caused a stir as he was caught by the camera 'watering' the plants in the background of the shot!
There are the other pets too, including Rua, the dog of Frances Tophill, so many that they have needed their own page The Animal Co-Stars of Gardeners' World
As well as seeing what happening in the garden at Longmeadow, the other presenters will be showing us their own gardens and projects.
We have the usual visits to some of the most beautiful gardens in the United Kingdom that are open to the public as well as getting a look round some private gardens.
The viewers videos are back which are recorded by themselves and take us either on a tour of their own unique plots or to show us what they have been doing in the garden with some helpful tips along the way.
Will this series bring any format changes or new presenters, we will have to wait and see but the return of Gardeners' World marks the start of the Spring season and time to get sowing and planting.
