Garden Rescue 2025 Series 10

Garden Rescue returns for Series 10 on Monday 19 May 2025 on BBC1 in the afternoon slot and will run for 35 Episodes.

This year it starts during the RHS Flower Show coverage so makes for a very nice afternoon viewing for us Gardeners.

Leading the Team of Garden Designers is the longest member Charlie Dimmock who has been in the programme since it was first shown in 2016

Returning is Garden Designer Lee Burkhill AKA The Ninja Gardener who first appeared in Garden Rescue 2021 Series 6.

The last 2 members joined the Team in Garden Rescue 2022 Series 7 are Flo Headlam and Chris Hull.

This series is getting off to a mixed start with the scheduling mixing new episodes from Series 10 with episodes from the Previous Series 9.

Good news is they have kept the revisited episodes for this series too as it was great to see past favourite garden makeovers and how they have matured and been enhanced.

It also nice to the see the past presenters David & Harry Rich and Arit Anderson.

With the programme going into its 10th series with pretty much the exact same format of the garden makeover it does not seem to lose its popularity amongst the afternoon viewers.

Is it possible to run out of garden theme ideas with every garden owner wanting something different and on different budgets and of course the researchers that find and sort the applications to appear on the show!

The balance of Garden Designers seems to work and they are enough different to have their own unique Garden Style.

Would I like to see a new radical Garden Designer come in and do a 'Changing Room' scenario where the recipients hate their Garden, Probably!

I don't think this is going to happen but maybe a new designer could add a new spark to Series 10 but one has not been announced so I am presuming we are staying the same!

What we do expect to see from this series is, the home owner choosing a garden design, some cheesy rivalry to win, the loser helping to build the garden, lots of familiar faces from the contractors who are a big part of the show.

We get some ideas and a small bit of plant knowledge thrown in, the garden gets done, whatever problems they face, the losing designer hides behind a wall to peep at the big reveal, we have the grand reveal, everyone's happy, the garden is transformed.

This is never going to be a full on educational gardening programme, in fact there seems to be less and less gardening featured but for a bit of fun, easy watching entertainment and to daydream of a garden makeover yourself, you can't beat Garden Rescue!
