Jason Williams AKA 'The Cloud Gardener' is a Social Media Gardener, Award winning Garden Designer, Balcony and small space Gardener, Horticulturist, and one of the new Garden Club Members on Alan Titchmarsh's Gardening Club.

Jason used to garden as a child with his grandmother but it was not until his job in hospitality was put on hold with the Covid-19 Pandemic that his career path took a major change.


From Little Acorns

In 2020 Jason had just moved to his new home, an apartment, on the 18th floor in Manchester, then the Covid pandemic hit.  He then sought outside space on his balcony and before long it became his oasis 

He then shared his journey on Social Media to green up his space not only to attract wildlife but also for his own Mental Health and became 'The Cloud Gardener'!

In 2022 he won Social Media Communicator of the year at the Garden Media Guild Awards.

Jason Williams won a Silver Gilt for his replication of his own Balcony at the RHS Chelsea flower show for The Cirrus Garden. He has also exhibited at RHS Tatton Flower show including a unique feature garden, Cloudy Alley based on a real alley project in Manchester.


In 2024 Jason Williams became the new Small Garden expert Garden Club Member on Alan Titchmarsh new Gardening Programme Alan Titchmarsh's Gardening Club which was first aired on Monday 4 March at 2 PM.

As well as Alan it also has Horticulturist David Domoney, Community Gardener Tayshan Hayden-Smith,  Horticulturist Camilla Bassett-Smith House Plant Expert Sarah Gerrard-Jones  , Organic Gardener Anna Greenland and Lucy Willcox Garden Designer.

Fellow Garden Club Members include Danni Gallacher   Permaculturist & Forager, Ramona Jones Cottage Gardener and Alex Smith.


In 2025 Jason returned  as the small garden expert Team Member with  Alan Titchmarsh on his Gardening Programme Alan Titchmarsh's Gardening Club Season 2 2025 which was first aired on Monday 10 March 2025 at 2 pm.

As well as Alan and Jason it also has Horticulturist Camilla Bassett-SmithAsk the Gardener Anna Greenland, Community Gardener Errol Reuben Fernandes, House Plant Expert Claire Lowrie, DIY Garden Expert Henry Agg, Urban Gardener Martha Swales 
Eco Gardener Poppy Okotcha  Permaculturist Huw Richards  Country Gardener Katy Watson   Garden Designer Lucy Willcox and Family Gardener Helen Cross


Jason Williams has written for Gardeners' World Magazine and also will be appearing at Gardeners' World Live 2024.

Jason actively supports Mental Health Projects through the benefits of gardening on peoples Mental Health and hold regular Plant and seed sales as well as  seed swaps through his Website and Social Media.

Jason Williams is an Ambassador for Thrive  The Society for Horticultural Therapy, a charity that uses gardening to change lives.

Monty Don's Spanish Gardens

Monty Don filmed the 3 Episodes of Monty Don's Spanish Gardens over 7 weeks in 2023 and the first Episode aired on BBC2 on 23 February 2024.

This 3 part programme is a welcome addition to the Winter gardening programme schedule for a bit of armchair gardening.

Monty again 'Dons' his Panama Hat and linen suits, his trusty garden exploration uniform and you can tell from his beaming smile he is again in his element exploring these stunning gardens.

Gardeners' World 2024

Monty Don is back for the first programme of Gardeners' World for the 2024 growing season starting on Friday 15 March 2024 and repeated on BBC2 over the weekend and on the BBC iplayer.

Gardeners' world first started in 1968 with Monty technically being the 7th and 9th presenter of the series.

Monty originally was the presenter from 2003 - 2008 before becoming the most recent presenter in 2011!

Gardeners' World 2024 will run for 32 Episodes.

Camilla Bassett-Smith AKA thebotanicalbobblehat is a Horticulturist, TV Gardener on Love Your Weekend and one of the Gardeners on Alan Titchmarsh's Gardening Club.

Camilla attended the Pershore College of Horticulture for her Horticulture studies and qualified in 2000 and she even  had Chris Beardshaw as one of her tutors!

Camilla Bassett-Smith first appeared alongside Alan Titchmarsh on Love Your Weekend in 2020  and soon became a regular face presenting the gardening slots and becoming equally known for her choice of headwear.

Camilla again appeared on Alan 'Spring into Summer' Programme in 2021 which celebrated all things to do with Hampshire.

Although this was not a gardening programme it did feature gardening as part of its diverse appreciation of the area and its changing seasons.

Camilla's Cottage Garden at Manor Farm was started from scratch and features like her Pizza in a pot encouraged us to get out and enjoy the post Covid growing seasons.

Camilla Bassett-Smith has worked on several Gardening Programmes, not as a Presenter but as a Assistant Producer or Producer including The Allotment Challenge, Great Garden Revival and The Big Flower Fight. 

Camila has written articles for Newspapers as well as Magazines including the RHS Garden Magazine.

Camilla is a member of the RHS Bulb Committee which is her passion.  


A little known fact is Camilla Bassett-Smith was also a singer and Actress, who has sung for Andrew Lloyd Webber back in 2005 at St Paul's Cathedral as well as working as a voice over Actress, a presenter and a Model.

Camilla Bassett-Smith lives in Cheltenham and likes to keep her life private, which of course I respect.

Alan Titchmarsh's Gardening Club

Alan Titchmarsh welcomes us to the first episode of a whole new gardening programme Alan Titchmarsh's Gardening Club on Monday 4 March 2024 on ITV.

This 1 hour long programme is to run for 10 episodes on a Monday afternoon starting at 2 pm, an unusual time slot for a weekly gardening programme but will also be repeated on Sunday lunch time on ITV.

Sarah Gerrard-Jones

Sarah Gerrard-Jones is a Gardener, House Plant Expert, Author of The Plant Rescuer and new House Plant expert on Alan Titchmarsh's Gardening Club.

Sarah became interested in gardening from a young age helping her Grandad, years later when she was a student and had no garden her love for houseplants started.


Sarah attended the Edinburgh College of Arts and graduated with Painting & Drawing BA (Hons) Degree

Anna Greenland

Anna Greenland

Anna Greenland is an Organic Vegetable Grower, Author, Award Winning Garden Designer and New Gardening Expert
on Alan Titchmarsh's Gardening Club.

Anna started her career as a model and Journalist then she began getting interested in living a more rural lifestyle and moved to Cornwall  to work at the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

She comes from a family of gardeners with both her Mother and Grandmother but she did not get interested in it until she had her own garden.
