Helen Elks-Smith

Helen Elks-Smith is a Garden Designer who creates stunning gardens that are holistically designed taking into account their surroundings, the function of the garden and the effect the garden has on your wellbeing. 

Helen studied Garden Design at Writtle College coming from a mathematical background she combines these talents to design not only beautiful but practical gardens.

In 2005 she started her Garden Design Company Elks-Smith Landscape and Garden Design.

Helen was made a Fellow of the Society of Garden Designers in 2019 and has designed 2 RHS Gold Medal, a Silver Gilt and Silver medal winning gardens.

Helen Elks Smith Chelsea Garden won many accolades.

In 2021 Helen Elks-Smith features in a new type of gardening programme Your Garden Made Perfect which was first shown on BBC2 on 04 February 2021.

Presented by Angela Scanlon as well as Helen Elks-Smith it features award-winning garden designers, Pip Probert, Tom Massey and Manoj Malde also for small spaces Joel Bird.

The programme returns for a second series on BBC2 on Friday 04 February 2022.

Angela Scanlon returns as the presenter as well as Garden Designers Tom Massey, Pip Probert and Manoj Malde as well as 2 new Garden Designers Steve Williams and Oliver Bond.

The budget small garden Designer Joel Bird is replaced this series by new Garden designer Tayshan Hayden-Smith.

Helen lives in the New Forest Hampshire.
