 Tom Massey

Tom Massey is a gardener and Garden Designer who grew up in Richmond, London.

Tom first studied Art at the University of Arts London before completing a BA Hons in Animation Production at the Arts Institute of Bournemouth

A career in freelance Animation and Design followed as well as being a Director of a Music Events Company.

Tom wanted a change of career and with a love of the outdoors, he studied for a Garden Design Diploma at the London College of Garden Design.

Tom Massey started garden design company Tom Massey- Landscape and Garden Design.


Branching out

Tom Massey may have not been a Garden Designer for long but already has had several award winning gardens including a RHS Gold Medal and 2 Silver Gilts as well as various other awards.


In 2021 Tom Massey features in a new type of gardening programme Your Garden Made Perfect which was first shown on BBC2 on 04 February 2021.

Presented by Angela Scanlon as well as Tom Massey it features award-winning garden designers, Helen Elks-Smith, Pip Probert and Manoj Malde also for small spaces Joel Bird.


The programme returns for a second series on BBC2 on Friday 04 February 2022.

Angela Scanlon returns as the presenter as well as Garden Designers Pip Probert, Manoj Malde and Helen Elks-Smith as well as 2 new Garden Designers Steve Williams and Oliver Bond.

The budget small garden Designer Joel Bird is replaced this series by new Garden designer Tayshan Hayden-Smith.

Tom is based in Richmond upon Thames
